Blacksmithing Workshops
Beginner Blacksmithing
Learn traditional blacksmithing techniques. Pound iron in the
coal forge and use your new found skills to make a heart hook
to take home. Must be 15 years old or older and able to drive
a three inch nail with one hand.Tools and materials provided.
Safety glasses provided. Wear leather shoes and cotton clothing.
Three workshops October 9th and 10th
Instructor: Dick Schaeffer
Cost: $60
Time: Two hour session. Workshops start at 10am, 12:30pm or 3pm
Requirements: Ages 15 and older only. Must be able to drive 3" nail, holding hammer in one hand.
Plant Hanger
Students will forge a wall mounted plant hanger with a scrolled end and decorative twist. If time allows, instructor will demonstrate and students will forge decorative nails using a nail heading tool.
Cost: $80
Time: 2 1/2 hours
