Blacksmithing Workshops
Beginner Blacksmithing
In the basic blacksmithing class the student will make a heart hook using a coal forge and traditional blacksmithing techniques. The class is open to anyone 15 or older. The only prerequisite is the ability to drive a 3" nail holding the hammer in one hand. Tools and materials are provided. Students should wear cotton work clothes and safety glasses (provided if you dont have them). Classes limited to 2 students.

Time: Saturday May 14 10am, 12:30pm and 3pm
Sunday May 15 12:30pm and 3pm
Requirements: Ages 15 and older only. Must be able to drive 3" nail, holding hammer in one hand.
Plant Hanger
Students will forge a wall mounted plant hanger with a scrolled end and decorative twist. If time allows, instructor will demonstrate and students will forge decorative nails using a nail heading tool.
Cost: $80
Time: 2 1/2 hours
